IMPORTANT! - Before you book any live band you need to be aware that
recent European legislation dictates that venues that host live music
are becoming increasingly concerned about their liability in the event
of accidents. The management of venues and function rooms therefore
often (but not always) check to see if a band has sufficient cover.
You can rest assured that Arizona not only has the highest level of
Public Liability Insurance, but also has a comprehensive 'Risk
Assessment' document explaining things in full. The band also has
a full set of PAT (Portable Appliance Test) certificates for all the
electrical equipment used at live events. All documentation is available
on request. Not all bands are this meticulous!

Frequently asked questions:
Q:
How far will the band travel to play at an event?
A: We operate mainly in the South of England and London. However, we can
travel further if the event is planned with sufficient notice. Travel
and accommodation would incur an extra cost.
Q: I am considering using a live band but I am worried about the
volume levels involved. Are live bands always loud?
A: You should have no such concerns when booking Arizona. We have our
own sophisticated sound system that can be scaled precisely to the size
of the venue and the needs of the event. Our watchword when it comes to
sound is “quality rather than quantity”.
Q: How much floor space does the band take up?
A: The more, the better! Seriously, as a very minimum, we have squeezed
onto a stage measuring 15ft wide by 10ft deep but this was 'cozy'! In
addition, our PA and lights occupy floor space but we can arrange these
discretely as required.
Q: How long would you play for?
Most evening functions normally start around 8:00pm and continue
until around midnight.
Q: Do you have any references or recommendations?
A: Please click on the ‘Previous Work’ page to view a list of some of
our previous engagements together with a selection of ‘thank-you’ notes
from satisfied clients.
Q: Live band or disco, why should I pay the extra?
A: Using a live band, particularly one with the pedigree of Arizona, is
going to make a tremendous difference to the success of your event. We
play with genuine enthusiasm and enjoy every note. It’s not “just
another job” to us. The guests always recognise this and inter-react
with the atmosphere on stage. With Arizona, it’s not just ‘us on stage
and you down there’ – it’s one big party and we want everyone to
remember the event in years to come. If you book a disco, at the end of
the day, it’s a bunch of CDs that you could buy in the shops….
Q: What’s the line-up of the band?
A: Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass & Drums. The three guys at the front
all sing, the keyboard player & the guitarist perform the ‘unplugged’
acoustic material, the bassist is also our live sound engineer and our
singer is the band’s treasurer. We are self-managed and handle our own
PR - How’s that for versatility!
Q: Do you have a demo CD I could listen to?
A: We can, upon request, send you a free promotional pack that includes
a CD of Arizona playing live. Email us your request, including an
address.
Q: Before we book the band, is there a chance of seeing you play
live?
A: Most of the work we do these days tends to be corporate or functions.
However, when time allows we still perform a few dates throughout the
year in public venues, which give our friends & families the opportunity
of seeing the band. Live public dates are now few & far between but are
listed on the news page
Q: What’s the best way of discussing my requirements with you?
A: Contact us by email in the first instance – ‘arizonaband@hotmail.com'.
We will then follow this up with a phone call to discuss specifics.
